Welcome to the 2024 Vipers House Spring Program Registration 

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation and submit payment. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or checking account information available.  Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from Plst Pr Patriots Hky. 

Please note that your registration payment is NON-REFUNDABLE.  NO REFUNDS will be given to players who are placed on a team but choose not to play.  Additionally, if a player elects to quit mid-season, they are still responsible for the entire season fee.

• Mite - 2016 & Younger Birth Years
• Squirt - 2015 & 2014 Birth Years
• Peewee - 2013 & 2012 Birth Years
• Bantam - 2011 & 2010 Birth Years

All USA Hockey Numbers are current through August 31, 2024.  USA Hockey Registration ONLY applies to first year Squirts or new families to the organization that do not currently have a USA Hockey #.  If you already have a valid USA Hockey # you will need to have it handy to enter in on that section of the registration.

• Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
• Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.

PAY ONLINE IN FULL: Submit total fees online today upon conclusion of this registration session via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account.
PAYMENT PLAN:  Submit half of the total due for the season online today upon conclusion of this registration session via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account. The remaining balance will be automatically debited from the SAME ACCOUNT on 4/15/2024.

The information below pertains to the Mite level, which is any player with a birth year of 2016 & YOUNGER.

What's Included

• 2 on-ice skills based practices weekly
• Weekly half-ice scrimmage games
• Jersey
• Socks

Evaluations

Practices

• Mite level teams practice 2x per week.
  • Your practice schedule will depend upon the team that your child is placed on.

Games

• Mite level teams play primarily half-ice internal games against other Vipers Mite House teams. Some full-ice games will be scheduled throughout the season.
• All games will take place on Sunday mornings at the RecPlex.
• Games will be posted to your child's specific team's schedule on the RecPlex Ice Arena website once available. 

Season Length

• Spring season runs for 8 weeks beginning the week of April 1. All spring activities will finish before Memorial Day weekend.

Equipment Requirements

• All players will need to have a full set of hockey equipment to participate in the spring league. Equipment must be provided by the participant. The RecPlex does not offer rental equipment.

The information below pertains to the Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam level, which is any player with a birth year of 2015-2010.

What's Included

• 1 Practice Slot Each Week
• 1 Skills Session Every Other Week (Ran by professional skill's company)
• 6-8 Game Schedule
• Jersey
• Socks

What's Not Included

• Tournaments: Tournaments are not included in the fees advertised. If your team decides to do a tournament this will need to be paid for via a team slush fund.

Evaluations

Practices

• Practices will be Monday through Friday. Practices will start the week of a April 1, 2024.
  • Specific practice schedules including days/times for each age group is still in the works. Your practice schedule will also depend upon the team that your child is placed on.

Games

• All teams will play a 6-8 game schedule.
• Games will be posted to your child's specific team's schedule on the RecPlex Ice Arena website once available. Games will be available after the league scheduling meeting.
• Home games will take place at the RecPlex and away games are played at rinks all south of the RecPlex in Illinois. 
• Games are primarily played on Saturdays and Sundays.  The number of games your team has in a given weekend may vary.

Season Length

• Spring season runs for 8 weeks beginning the week of April 1. All spring activities will finish before Memorial Day weekend.

USA Hockey Requirement

• All Squirt - Bantam Level Players will be need a valid 2023-2024 USA Hockey Number, which is an additional fee paid to USA Hockey, not the RecPlex. You will need this confirmation number in order to complete your registration.

Equipment Requirements

• All players will need to have a full set of hockey equipment to participate in the spring league. Equipment must be provided by the participant. The RecPlex does not offer rental equipment.

Any player with a 2011 birth year that that is planning to play during the Spring 2024 season or Fall 2024-2025 season is required to take a MANDATORY Checking Clinic. The Checking Clinic is for both House and Travel level players.  Both skaters and goalies are required to attend.

Friday, March 15, 2024 (5:45p-7:30pm)

• Location: RecPlex
• Off-Ice (Classroom): 5:45pm
• On-Ice: 6:30p-7:30pm

Players and a Parent must sign-in with Vipers Staff prior to the clinic. 
There will be an off-ice and on-ice session.
Gym shoes are required for the off-ice portion, and full gear for the on-ice portion is required.
